Croatia: GIRLS GO SAILING
Seven days on the Adriatic, wind in your hair, no Wi-Fi that actually works, no “real life” chasing you. Just sunlight, sea salt, and women who were strangers who started feeling like old friends before the first sunset. You’ll swim in water so clear it looks fake, laugh over cheap wine that somehow tastes expensive, share stories you’ve never told anyone, watch sunsets that’ll make you swear off city life, at least for a little while and laugh until midnight under a sky full of stars. One boat. One week. A thousand little moments that remind you you’re still alive.

From Split to the Sea: The Day It All Began
The marina was buzzing with that first-day energy, half excitement, half “what did I just sign up for?” We met our skipper, exchanged names and smiles, and within minutes it already felt like the start of something good. After a quick chat and a grocery run that somehow turned into a mini adventure (too many snacks, not enough water, classic us), we carried our bags and laughter back to the catamaran.
Stepping onboard felt surreal, our new floating home for the week. We unpacked, claimed our cabins, and sat on deck as the ropes loosened and the sea started to pull us away from the shore. The wind picked up, the sun hit the water just right, and suddenly, it all made sense, this was freedom.
By sunset, we reached Vis. We wandered the old stone streets, grabbed dinner by the sea, talked about where we’d come from and what brought us here. The night ended quietly, with the sound of waves against the hull and that feeling you only get when a new adventure has just begun.

Day 2
Vis Island - Vis town
1 night: Istria
Vis: Tunnels, Tales, and Mamma Mia Magic
The day started quietly, coffee cups clinking, the smell of breakfast drifting across the deck, and the soft hum of the marina waking up. After a short morning walk, our jeeps arrived, old, rugged, and ready to take us deep into the island’s hidden past.
Vis might look peaceful now, but not long ago, it was anything but. For decades it was a military island, closed to outsiders, full of secrets buried beneath the cliffs and tunnels. Our guide knew them all. He drove us through winding dirt roads, stopping at bunkers carved into stone, torpedo tunnels big enough to swallow submarines, and lookout points where the whole Adriatic stretched out beneath us.
Between history lessons, he handed us wild herbs to smell — rosemary, sage, immortelle — and then, with a grin, poured us a taste of local rakija infused with the same plants. “So you can feel the island properly,” he said. He was right.
Back on the catamaran, we made lunch, lounged on deck, and started planning the evening in the only way we know how: “Let’s get gelato. Then drinks. Then dinner.” (In that order, obviously.)
The night didn’t end there. Someone suggested one last glass of local wine, so we wandered into a small bar where the music played softly, and laughter came easy. Just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, we stumbled upon an open-air cinema — Mamma Mia, playing right there under the stars, on the very island where it was filmed.
We sat back with our drinks and popcorn, the breeze warm on our faces, and sang along quietly as the screen flickered against the night sky. It felt unreal, like the perfect scene written just for us.
And as we walked back to the boat smiling, someone said what we were all thinking: “If this is day one… I can’t wait for what’s next.”

Day 3
Vis Island - Komiža
1 night: Istria
From Vis to Komiža: Salt, Cliffs, and Shooting Stars
After breakfast and coffee in Vis, it was time to lift the anchor and chase the sun toward Komiža. But first, a stop we’d all been waiting for: Stiniva Beach.
Tucked between towering cliffs, Stiniva looks like something nature forgot to keep secret. The entrance is narrow, almost hidden, opening up to a small pebble beach and the clearest turquoise water you’ve ever seen. It’s no surprise it was voted the most beautiful beach in Europe, but you only understand it once you’re there.
We jumped off the boat, laughing, swimming through the sea gate and back again, salt stinging our eyes, hearts completely full. It felt like one of those rare moments when life slows down just enough for you to notice how beautiful it really is.
From there, we sailed toward Komiža, a postcard-perfect fishing town with terracotta roofs, boats bobbing in the harbor, and locals who smile like they’ve known you forever. Nestled at the foot of Mount Hum, Komiža feels timeless, warm, and alive all at once.
We arrived late, the sun already low, painting the sea in gold. Nobody wanted to move. So we stayed on the catamaran, talking, laughing, watching the lights of the town flicker on. Later, we lay on the net under the stars, whispering wishes into the night. Someone saw a shooting star. The rest of us decided to take that as a good sign.

Day 4
Island Korčula
1 night: Istria
Korčula Evenings, Local Wine, and Laughter by the Bay
The next morning, Komiža was glowing. We found a café right on the pier, perfect coffee, perfect breakfast, the kind that somehow tastes better when you’re barefoot and sun-kissed. After recharging both phones and souls, we wandered through town, narrow alleys, stone houses, hidden courtyards. Every corner begged for a photo. No wonder Mamma Mia filmed here, it’s impossible not to fall in love with the place.
We spent the afternoon swimming, tanning, snorkeling off the boat (and losing a mask, which our skipper heroically dove down to rescue). Before sailing off again, we made one last grocery run and grabbed a few souvenirs, because a piece of Komiža deserves to come home with you.
As the sails lifted and the wind caught, the island slowly disappeared behind us, but the feeling stayed, that mix of freedom, sun, salt, and new friendships you never saw coming.
We were arriving towards Korčula, our next island, our next adventure. After a few hours of sailing, the hills of Vela Luka appeared in the distance, green and golden under the afternoon sun. The moment we anchored, the air smelled different, pine trees, salt, and something sweet we couldn’t quite name.
Vela Luka isn’t the loud kind of beautiful. It’s the kind that sneaks up on you, small stone houses, quiet bays, olive trees that have seen a hundred summers. It feels real. Honest. Like a secret corner of Dalmatia the world forgot to rush.
As the sun was setting, we headed straight to the town for a walk, gelato in one hand, camera in the other. We found a little family-run konoba tucked behind the harbor. No menu, just the owner listing what’s fresh, grilled fish, octopus salad, homemade wine. We said yes to everything. The laughter got louder with every glass, and someone declared, “This is the best food I’ve had all week.” No one argued.
After dinner, we strolled back to the catamaran, the harbor lights dancing on the water. The air was warm, still, peaceful. We sat on deck, wrapped in towels and stories, the kind of conversations that only happen when the sea is quiet and everyone feels a little more open.
One by one, we drifted off, some to their cabins, some under the stars. The waves rocked us to sleep, and the last thing anyone said was, “If paradise had a sound, it would be this.”

Day 5
Island Hvar - Pakleni islands
1 night: Istria
Hvar: Cocktails, Cobblestones, and One Unforgettable Night
The morning in Vela Luka started easy — sunshine spilling over the bay, the town slowly waking up. We spent the first part of the day wandering through its quiet streets, saying hello to locals, peeking into little shops, and swimming in the kind of blue water that almost doesn’t look real. It was one of those slow, golden mornings where no one’s in a hurry, and everything feels exactly right.
By early afternoon, it was time to lift the anchor and chase the horizon again — next stop, Hvar Island.
We pulled into Hvar just before sunset, that golden hour where everything looks a little softer, a little better, even you. Music playing, girls doing their makeup on deck, the sea like glass, the sky turning that ridiculous mix of pink and orange.
Someone poured the first drink. Someone else said, “We should go out tonight.”
And just like that, the night started . A taxi boat took us straight into Hvar Town. We found a spot for dinner, the kind where you don’t remember the name, just the laughter. Then came cocktails. The kind that make you forget you’re strangers.
We talked, laughed too loud, danced like it was summer all over again. Some danced for the fun of it while some lived their Mamma Mia moments. No plans. No pretending. Just the kind of night you can’t fake.
Later, the taxi boat came back for us hair messy, still laughing and trying to figure out what just happend.
The town lights were fading behind us, and someone said, Someone said, “This might be my favorite night yet.” No one disagreed.

Day 6
Island Hvar - Stari Grad
1 night: Istria
The Calm of Stari Grad and the Night We Didn’t Want to End
We woke up to the sound of the sea brushing softly against the catamaran, our floating home still anchored between the Pakleni Islands. The morning was slow and perfect. Coffee in hand, swimsuits on, we slipped into the water one by one. It was warm, clear, endless, the kind of morning that makes you wish time would pause just a little.
After breakfast on deck, we set sail toward Stari Grad, one of the oldest towns in Europe. The sail was peaceful, the breeze gentle, the mood quiet in that happy, content way. By the time we reached the harbor, the sun was high and the town looked like a painting, stone houses, lavender shops, and boats swaying lazily in the bay.
We found a little restaurant by the water for lunch, local wine, fresh fish, and the kind of easy conversation that only happens when you’ve spent a week together. Afterwards, some of us explored the cobblestone streets while others stayed on the boat, reading, tanning, or just lying in silence, soaking in every last second.
As evening came, we got ready for our final night, dinner first, then drinks that turned into dancing, and dancing that turned into singing. No one wanted it to end. Somewhere between the music and the laughter, someone said, “Let’s just stay one more day.” We all smiled, knowing we couldn’t, but also knowing that this, right here, would be the night we’d remember the most.

Day 7
Back to Split
1 night: Istria
Split Nights, Soft Goodbyes, and the Last Laughs on Deck
After breakfast and coffee on board, we took one last slow walk around the marina, the kind where no one says it out loud, but everyone feels it’s almost over. Then it was time to lift the anchor and head back toward Split, our starting point, the circle slowly closing. But the sea had other plans. The waves were restless, the wind stronger than before, almost as if the island itself wasn’t ready to let us go.
By afternoon, we were back in port. We freshened up, dressed for dinner, and decided to make the most of our final night. Split was glowing, streetlights reflecting off the stone, live music spilling out of cafés, people laughing in the square. We walked, ate, toasted to the week that changed us, and promised this wouldn’t be the last time.
Back at the boat, we stayed up late, talking, laughing, a little too aware that tomorrow we’d go back to our own worlds. Someone said, “It’s going to be weird not seeing you all every morning.” Everyone nodded. The sea was still, the stars were out, and for a moment, we just sat there, quiet, grateful, wishing it could all last a little longer.

Day 8
Goodbye Dalmatia
1 night: Istria
From Split, With Love — The End That Feels Like a Beginning
We woke up early, the sky still soft and quiet, to say goodbye to the first girls catching their flights. Sleepy hugs, tearful smiles, promises whispered between yawns. The rest of us stayed behind, tidying up, packing the last bits, and saying our final goodbye to Anna, our floating home, our little world for the past week.
Then it was time for one last wander through Split. We found a café, ordered coffee and tiramisu, and stretched those last few hours as far as they would go. The conversations were slower, softer, the kind that happen when no one wants to leave. We laughed about inside jokes, shared photos, and started planning the next trip before this one had even ended.
Goodbyes never get easy. But somehow, they hurt a little less when you know you’ll see each other again, somewhere new, with the same sea breeze and the same laughter waiting for you.
Why over 350 girls want to travel with us
4 Dec 2024
You’ll never know what awaits
Every memory lives in our photos, we took thousands of them, and each one feels precious when I look back. It wasn’t one single moment that stood out, but countless little ones quietly shining, layering into a story that belongs to us. I loved how we, as girls from different cultures, dressed up beautifully, went out, took photos, shared meals, talked, laughed, simply enjoyed being together. There was something so pure and effortless about our connection. This journey helped me understand myself better to stop forcing, stop hiding, to embrace who I am and accept others just as they are. Because if you never take that one brave step for yourself, you’ll never know what awaits, or what beautiful moments you might miss. 🌿

I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!
I had the most amazing experience with soloyetogether! If I had the chance to relive my vacation and book it with someone else, I would still choose them without a doubt. I didn’t just have a wonderful week in Croatia, I also met incredible girls who have become friends for life. Donatela planned the entire week so beautifully. From the accommodation to the activities, everything was perfectly organized and thoughtfully arranged. I discovered stunning places in Istria, made unforgettable memories, and gained so much from this trip. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Frequently Asked
Questions
Who is this trip for?
This trip is for women who want to experience Istria with ease, laughter, and connection, no planning, no stress, just good company. Whether you’re coming solo or with a friend, you’ll fit right in with other women who are open-minded, kind, and ready for a little adventure (and a lot of good food).
How many women will be in the group?
Each trip brings together a small group of 6–8 women — just the right size to feel personal, not crowded. It’s enough people to make new friends, but few enough that everyone gets to truly connect and share the experience together.
What if I have dietary restrictions or food allergies?
No worries at all, just let us know when you book. We always inform our hosts and restaurants in advance so everyone can enjoy every meal comfortably. Whether you’re vegetarian, gluten-free, or have allergies, we’ll make sure you’re taken care of.
How do room arrangements work, will I share with someone?
Yes, rooms are shared, and we’ll figure out who’s sharing with who once everyone arrives. Some rooms have twin beds, others king-size beds, so we’ll match things based on comfort and vibe. It always works out naturally, most women come solo, and it usually turns into an instant sleepover with a new friend.
What’s the age range of the group?
Typically, most women are in their mid/late 20s to mid/late-30s, though we often have a few slightly younger or older travelers too. What matters isn’t the number, it’s the vibe. If you’re kind, curious, and love good company, you’ll fit right in.
Is this a luxury retreat or more of a casual group trip?
Not luxury in the “five-star spa” sense — but definitely not basic either. We stay in beautiful villas, enjoy amazing local meals, and travel like friends who love a little comfort without the fuss.
How fit do I need to be to join the activities?
You don’t need to be an athlete, just comfortable walking and moving around. Our activities are designed for everyday women with average fitness levels, and there’s always room to go at your own pace. It’s about enjoying the experience, not racing through it.
How active is the trip, is there free time to relax?
It’s the perfect mix. We usually have one to two activities a day, with plenty of free time to unwind by the pool, nap, journal, or explore on your own. There’s no rush, this isn’t a tour, it’s a trip designed to let you actually enjoy being away.
